Educate more than 12,000 students, because HIV increasingly affects
our youth.

House more than 190 men, women and children impacted by HIV, who
might otherwise be homeless.

Deliver case management, mental health and alternative therapy services
to more than 300 adults who need a lifeline to supportive services.

Provide approximately 1,000 free HIV and sexually transmitted infection
(STI) tests to our most vulnerable populations.

Free, confidential HIV testing at BEHIV

BEHIV and the Chicago Department of Public Health are offering:

FREE HIV COUNSELING AND TESTING*

OraQuick (finger stick is able to detect both HIV1 and HIV2)

›› Must be over 18

›› Same day results, given only in person

›› Confidential testing only

Tuesdays (1:00pm-3:30pm) & Thursdays (10:00am-3:30pm) walk-in service only (no appointment required)

OraSure (oral swab is available only upon request)

›› Must be at least 12

›› Results in 7-14 days, given only in person

›› Confidential testing only

*Important Notice-- Staff, at their discretion, may decline HIV testing to any individual who does not present a significant history of high risk behavior within the last 30 - 90 days. Each session requires a minimum of 45-60 minutes. Staff may provide referrals to alternate testing sites.
